Frequently asked questions about Boot Camp
How
do I sign up now?
Go to the registration page and
download the proper file. Fill out the appropriate forms and follow
the payment instructions. The sooner you get your registration in,
the better we can ensure you get in the camp you want. Once we've
received your registration information, we'll contact you to schedule
your pre-camp evaluation. Remember, each camp sells out. Register
early!
The Pre-Camp Evaluation includes the following:
1.
Introduction to Adventure Boot Camp and answers to any
questions you may have. Your medical history will also be reviewed.
2.
You will have simple measurements done to see where you are prior
to beginning camp. The actual measurements (number of inches) don't
matter. We want to know how much you improve during the camp. It's
strictly for a post-camp comparison. These numbers and all
other information will be held in the strictest confidence. We
will access your posture to see if your back is healthy. We can
modify exercises if your back, neck, or shoulders are sore or previously
injured.
3.
You will then get your grip strength measured.
4.
You will be weighed. Again, the number doesn't matter. We just want
to see improvement.
5.
Next, your body fat is measured. Expect a 3-8% reduction over the
four weeks.
6.
You will be given your Welcome Packet and official Boot Camp T-shirt
6.
See you at camp!
How
many people in each camp?
The number usually varies between 15-20 participants.
What if I sign up for the three-day plan and then want to
do all 20 days of the camp?
This actually happens almost every time a person starts with three
days per week. They have so much fun; they ask to do all the days.
You will be simply pro-rated from the point you decide to join us
for all the days.
Will I be sore sometimes?
Most people feel some soreness for the first 2-3 days. After that
point, it is slight to moderate. It’s all part of the process
that changes you forever.
What
kinds of people go to camp?
They are people just like you. Someone who needs a little push to
jump start their fitness and wellness program. Most campers have
some history of exercise, but it is not required. We will make the
program just right for your ability level.
Is there a refund policy?
We can only give credit towards another boot camp if you are unable
to continue with the one you began because of circumstances beyond
your control. The credit is non-transferable. Credit is not given
towards private training. There is no cash refund.
What is a typical day like at boot camp?
That’s difficult to say since each day is intentionally different
to alleviate boredom. You will experience cutting edge fitness routines;
Turbo Kick, Kung Fu Fitness, PIYO,
Mat Work, some Running (less than
one mile), Weight Training, and Circuit
Training, each week. On special days, we will go hiking
and play sports related games. It is always
an Adventure, and you will always have fun!
How
soon will I see results?
Performance improvement can take place in as little as three days.
“Visual Improvement” can take from two to four weeks
depending on your effort level. It’s becoming common to see
as much as 3-8 pounds of weight loss after the first week.
Remember, everyone is different
